Kappa Alpha's National Philanthropy

Kappa Alpha Order's supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We support them year round, but during our Philanthropy week we support one child suffering from this disease. 

Last year we participated in the MDA Walk in NOVA Annandale Campus, 100% participation Volunteered at MDA Walkathon, ran booths, walked in the walkathon and distributed food to other participants. Also created a signing booth for children and team members to meet and sign each others team shirts. Other causes we support:

Get Well Cards for Children Hospital-  Brother's created Get Well Cards to be sent to Children's Hospital

Can drive-Brother's collect over 1,000 cans to distribute to homeless shelters while pairing up with Chi Omega
Can Drive- collected over 1,000 cans to distribute to homeless shelters while paired with Gamma Phi Beta

Chi Omega Wish Week Dodgeball Tournament- Participated in a dodge ball tournament with members of Chi Omega to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation, Charity Make A Wish Foundation

Fear 2 Freedom -  Attended a lecture on Sexual and Domestic Abuse, than proceeded to create boxes filled with items that were to be sent to recent victims of abuse at the local Innova hospital.

Smoke Out Arthritis-  Attended a smoke out and made donations in order to support Alpha Omicron Pi.
Charity-    Arthritis Research and the American Juvenile Arthritis Organization.   

Marine Corps Marathon Washington D.C. Volunteered with MDA Team Momentum and handed out food, water, band aids to marathon runners, also created signs held during the race.

Big Man On Campus-Brothers donate to Zeta Tau Alpha for their male pageant on campus. Money donated 450 dollars charity Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research


Food Drive Distributed food to those in need of the food drive, specifically families in need in the immediate area of Fairfax, at Bren Mar Elementary School.
